Mobile Number Portability is a service which was introduced by PTA last year, which not only facilitated customer to get convenience of retaining the number with the change of network but also cellular companies took full advantage of this service to increase their customers double fold.
Today this service is easily available through an SMS, where you can get the information of the SIM ownership and later can easily be port out to another number with not much hassle, if compared to the change of mobile number jsut for the poor network.
To get this done follow these steps
- Write MNP in an SMS and send it to 667 (standard SMS charges will be applied)
- Soon you will get reply from PTA about the ownership of your SIM.
- SMS will contain the name of the owner accompanied by the NIC number.
