Pakistan is new World Champion for the T20 Cricket 2009 tournament. This cup beholds all the glory all the happiness a nation deserves from their national sport teams. It was 1992 when we won the World Cup at Lords, England and now yet again at the same ground we have beaten the world for our cup.
Pakistan lifted this cup on 22, June 09 by beating the good rivals Srilanka with 8 wickets. The whole difference in the winning matches in the tournament than losing ones were the spirits of the players and the prayers of the nations.
Specially the stand up partnerships from Kamran Akmal with Shahzaib and Afridi with Malik was superb to go for the final win. The sensible batting from the Afridi in the finals along with the last two matches were new to the whole nation, who wanted same from the their Boom Boom Maestro or I must say BOOM BOOM Afridi.
Batting goes well but what about the balling ? there we had our all time bolling guy Razzak who struggled well but bolled really sensibly to knock out the key players to the pavillion. Aamir a new blood in balling department just made his name rolling all the go.
After all Pakistan really deserved to win this match being a victim of terrorism at all sides. They along with the Srilanka team were attacked in Pakistan from the terrorists and officially treated really bad at many sides by ICC.
It was also noted that during the whole tournament all commentators were seemed to be against the green team. But Wasim Akram did his job well to serve Pakistan on all positive sides.
In the end it was great victory for the Pakistani Team who deserved to be winners this year. Congratulations to whole nations. We Did It. We Won. We are the Champions. Pakistan Zindabad.
