PTCL Changing Local Codes of Karachi and Lahore

logo-ptclAccording to the guidelines of PTA (Pakistan Telecommunication Authority) PTCL will be changing and updating the local codes of Karachi and Lahore, by adding a digit 3 in its numbers. This move has been taken to enhance capacity and to widen the network of subscribers. This update process is a part of NNP ( National Numbering Plan ) from PTA.

This change is will increase the capacity approx: 10 million till 2050.

This new change in the local numbers of two big countries will include the migration from 7 to 8 digit, all old numbers will be accessible till 30th of June only, after that only 8 digit numbers will be accessible with no subsequent change in area code.
