najam sheraz may well be a good musicain but he is one confused person.
now im not a prude or a conservative. infact i am not religios either. but najam sheraz is (apparently) spreading the word of islam on an islamic tv channel.
now the problem is not that he is a hypocrite bcos he is doing music in general but bcos his latest video shows the pre-marital sex culture amongst the liberal society in pakistan.
the video shows the problem faced by the girls ie the guys screw them get them pregnant and dump them.
now this is definitely an issue but najam sheraz in his video is recognizing this problem. and by recognozing this problem he is recognizing the culture…. the casual affairs, premarital sex culture. in other words he opposed the problem associated with this culture but not this culture itself (which a religion spreading person like najam sheraz should oppose bcos casual affairs and premarital sex is HARAM whther or not the boy hurts the girls feelings).

@runtodahills: “he opposed the problem associated with this culture but not this culture itself”
Well this song seems to be an awareness for those girls who fally pray to such flirty boys, and if you can understand the lyrics clearly shows the rejection towards society too. Somewhat lyrics are angry with society.
Society? not culture ! yes. because this is not our culture, this is an west culture being promoted by them through media. We are all too tired of this culture.

najam is right, he has created an awareness, and he has rejected the beahviour of society. lyrics are strong and clear in meaning. so, it is a good lesson and awareness. najam is a revolutioner person.

“and he has rejected the beahviour of society”
i think he should be rejecting pre-marital sex, dating, partying in their entirety more openly in order to be consistent with his religious side.

The track is aimed more at Pakistani / Indian young women living outside of Pakistan / India (US, Canada, UK and all over Europe) who face the challenges of a mixed culture while trying to hold onto thier innocence, virtue and heritage.
In fact the concept of the album was a for more global audience than Paksitan itself. If you think of it this way, maybe it is easier to see his vision for this album.
Good musician - sure, without a doubt
Hypocrite - definately, when someone who is often such as strong, passionate and determined speaker on Islam, fails to follow his own preaching and falls victim to the music biz lifestlye when on the road touring.
