I have read the mails & am frankly disturbed at all that is being said.
To my mind, and do correct me if I am wrong, all religions are first about loving each other & living a life which is an example for others to follow. A musalman is one who’s “Iman” like his faith is like a rock “mussalam iman”.
Which one of us lives life which is based on basic principles that each religion teaches us. To my mind the maulvi’s have focussed on the simpler easier to implement tenets of Islam including dress code. But what about the bigger things in life. Things like living a life based on the basic principles of Islam which include tolerance for all and forgiveness. Did not the Prophet Mohammed forgive his worst enemies. Should that Sunnat not be practiced by his followers?
Islam like several other religions has no place for slander.
And yet in the name of Islam slander is being spread.
Islam is also a religion of brother hood. Are those of you who are slandering the young girls based on some tenets of Islam that prescribes dress code really forgetting the bigger tenets?
Ask yourself these questions and introspect for Islam is also about upholding the honour of innocent women.

I was wondering why Maria Wasti wasn’t given enough coverage, Ayesha Omer seemed to get all the limelight, obviously whoever got his/her hands on these photos and leaked them out for public viewing and consequent instigation doesn’t prioritize cougars as such.

If the english and french do not allow personal freedom to wear islamic cloths (In france a girl cant wear scarf, in UK it’s always objected to) then why some here are asking just the reverse? I do agree with the third post, by Ali; it makes quite some sense. Culture needs to be preserved and cherished, and not rebelled against by such acts. As a british muslim of Pakistani origin I have to say that these pictures should be condemned. I am a lawyer therefore have a great appreciation for privacy. However if the girls were parading on a public beach then it cannot be seen as invasion of privacy otherwise the likes of Posh and Beckham would have a claim for invasion of privacy everytime they landed off a plane from america and shots are taken of them at Heathrow terminal.
I am an educated BRITISH muslim lady and proud of my roots and culture,wearing a bikini will not make me any more or less british either. But I choose to preserve my faith and morals because I am accountable to Allah whiether I like it or not!

Dear Mustafa! It is right to say that everybody has got his / her personal life and is at liberty at doing whatever he / she likes but to do that one first has to seperate himself from Muslims & Islam. If both of the girls declare that they aren’t Muslims & don’t have anything to do with Islam I don’t think anybody in Pakistan or even in the world would have any objection on their deeds. By declaring oneself as a Muslim one promises to comply with the rules laid down by our religion & also accepts penalties that may be levied on violation of these rules. In my opinion, by supporting these girls, U urself are humiliating Allah Almighty & holy prophet (P.B.U.H) as U R saying that exposure by a Muslim Lady is right against clear instructions given by Allah and his prophet in context of dressing of Muslim men & women.
